The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission conducted the State Service Preliminary Examination 2026 and State Forest Service Preliminary Examination 2026 on April 26, 2026, and now they are going to announce the result officially on their official website at https://mppsc.mp.gov.in/ as a marksheet.
The commission conducted the examination in offline mode using the OMR sheet, and they are expected to start the answer evaluation process in early May 2026, which will take around four to five weeks, and then the result will be announced officially. They may announce the result by mid-June 2026.
The preliminary examination was conducted against a total number of 191, against which a huge number of candidates had participated. The sooner the commission completes the answers of the evaluation process, the sooner they will make public the result. How to check the MPPSC Prelims result 2026?
In order to check the result for the MPPSC preliminary examination 2026, please go through the instructions available below.
- Firstly, you have to visit the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission.
- On the home page you will see an option related to the result; tap on it.
- Click on the option related to the List of ‘Candidates Eligible for the SSE & SFSC (Mains)’ and download the merit list of the qualified candidates.
- Open the result PDF, and search your roll number to check if you have passed the examination.
Merit List
The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission will prepare a separate merit list for the state services examination and state forest services examination. Your name on the merit list will be available for the respective examination if your score in the preliminary examination meets or exceeds the cut-off mark for your category.
Cut-off Marks
The cut-off marks to pass the MPPSC SSE (Prelims) and SFSE (Prelims) in 2026 are set to be made public with the result release. Note that the MPPSC will make it public with the result; it will be available on the last page of the merit list. Note that the cut-off marks for both examinations are going to be different from one another for each category.

- UR: 145 – 155 marks
- OBC: 140 – 150 marks
- EWS: 135 – 145 marks
- SC: 130 – 140 marks
- ST: 120 – 135 marks
State Forest Service (Out of 600 Marks)
- UR: 280 – 310 marks
- OBC: 275 – 295 marks
- EWS: 270 – 290 marks
- SC: 250 – 270 marks
- ST: 235 – 255 marks
Cut-off marks for the state services examination are decided on the basis of the paper one score, but for the state forest services examination, it is done on the basis of both papers’ scores in aggregate.
What after the MPPSC Prelims Result 2026?
After the SSE (Prelims) and SFSE (Prelims) 2026 result release, the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission will conduct the main examination. The dates for the second stage of the election process are officially confirmed; the commission will conduct it from 7 to 12 September 2026. There are a total of 6 papers in the examination, which are:
- Paper I, II, III: General Studies (300 marks each)
- Paper IV: Ethics & Philosophy (300 marks)
- Paper V: General Hindi & Grammar (200 marks)
- Paper VI: Hindi Essay & Draft Writing (100 marks)
