UPTET 2026 Application Form
The application form for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 will be released on March 27, 2026. Candidates will be able to submit their application forms upon its release. Note that to apply, you will be required to fill in the necessary details, upload all the requisite documents, and pay the applicable fees.
The deadline for applying is April 26, 2026; however, you are strongly advised to submit your application form ASAP to avoid facing a last-minute rush. It is a common occurrence that candidates wait until the very last moment to apply, which often leads to them making numerous errors in their application forms, resulting in the rejection of their applications.
UPTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The UPTET 2026 is scheduled to be conducted in two distinct papers. The first is Paper I, intended for classes 1 to 5, and the second is Paper II, intended for classes 6 to 8. The educational qualification requirements for both papers are provided below.
- Paper 1 (Classes 1–5): 12th with 50% + 2-year D.El.Ed (BTC), 12th with 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed, 12th with 50% + D.Ed (Special Education), Graduation + B.Ed, Graduation + D.El.Ed, or Graduation + B.Ed (Special Education).
- Paper 2 (Classes 6–8): Graduation + B.Ed, Graduation + D.El.Ed, Graduation/Post Graduation with 50% + B.Ed, Graduation with 45% + B.Ed (NCTE norms), 12th with 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed, 12th with 50% + B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed., or Graduation + B.Ed (Special Education).
There is no age limit to participate in the UPTET 2026 for any paper; a candidate of any age group may apply, provided they meet the educational qualifications.
UPTET 2026 Application Fee
To apply for the UPTET 2026, the payment of the application fee is mandatory for submitting the application form for either Paper 1 or 2. The required fee is ₹1,000 for candidates belonging to the UR, OBC, and EWS categories; ₹500 for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates; and ₹300 for physically handicapped candidates.
You may pay the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 Paper 1 or 2 application fee using a debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. Please note that the deadline for fee payment is May 1, 2026; application forms submitted by candidates who fail to deposit their fees by this date will not be accepted.
UPTET 2026 Exam Date
The UPTET 2026 for Paper 1 and/or 2 will be conducted across the state at various examination centres on July 2, 3, and 4, 2026. The specific timings for the exam have not yet been made public; candidates will be able to view this information by downloading their admit cards, which are scheduled to be released on June 30, 2026.
Prior to the release of the admit cards for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 for Paper 1 and 2, an ‘Exam District Intimation Slip’ will be issued on June 22, 2026, by accessing which candidates will be able to view details regarding the district where their examination is all set to take place.
