The application form for the NIB Recruitment 2026 has been available from 9 March 2026, and it will be available till 8 April 2026. Those who want to participate in the recruitment drive are requested to submit their application form without waiting for the last date.

1). Scientist Grade II
Educational Qualification:
- MBBS + PG Degree in Microbiology / Biochemistry / Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion / Pharmacology / Bacteriology / Serology / Haematology, or
- Master’s Degree (60%) in Microbiology / Clinical Microbiology / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Biochemistry / Bacteriology / Physiology / Pharmacology / Serology / Molecular Biology
OR - PhD in related discipline
Experience:
- Medical: 5 years
- Non-Medical: 7 years
- PhD holders: 3 years
Age Limit: 45 years
2). Scientist Grade-III (Veterinarian)
Educational Qualification:
- M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Medicine / Veterinary Public Health / Veterinary Microbiology / Veterinary Pathology / Veterinary Epidemiology
Experience:
- 2 years’ veterinary practice / lab experience

3). Junior Scientist

5). Junior Hindi Translator
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Hindi / English / any subject with Hindi & English at degree level
Additional Requirement:
- Translation Diploma, or
- 2 years’ translation experience

6). Laboratory Technician
Educational Qualification:
- B.Sc. Biology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Molecular Biology + Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, or

7). Assistant-II
Educational Qualification:
- 12th pass with 50% marks
Additional Requirement:
- Typing: 35 WPM English / 30 WPM Hindi
Age Limit: 27 years
Note that the upper age relaxation is applicable for 3 years for OBC-NCL and 5 years for SC and ST, and an additional 10 years for PwBD. If you belong to the reserved category, you can claim age relaxation by providing required documents.

The final selection for the positions of Scientist Grade-II and Scientist Grade-III (Veterinarian) will be done based on a screening test, credentials (experience or publications), and personal discussion with a weightage of 40:30:30; for Junior Scientist, Laboratory Technician, Administrative Assistant & Assistant-II, it will be done based on the CBT score; and for Junior Hindi Translator, it will be done based on the Paper-II (descriptive test) score.
