UP Home Guard Result 2026, Merit List PDF With Cut-off Marks Release Soon

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board successfully held the written examination for the recruitment of Home Guards under the Police Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. It was held against the 41,425 vacancies, in which more than 25 lakh aspirants across the state participated. 

The board conducted this examination in offline mode using the OMR sheet, and now it is expected that the evaluation process will begin in early May 2026, which will last for 6 weeks, i.e., by the second week of June 2026, so it is expected that the result may be declared by the last week of the same month.

The earlier the board completes the answer sheets’ evaluation process, the earlier the result will be made available on the board’s website. The board will announce the result as a merit list carrying the roll number of only those candidates who have passed the examination; it will also carry the category-wise cut-off marks.

How to check the Home Guard result 2026?

The UPPRPB is yet to announce the result for the home guard written examination. After its release, candidates can check by going through the instructions given below. 

  • Visit the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.
  • Click on the option related to the result for the written examination held for the home guard.
  • Open the result PDF and press CTRL+F, enter roll number. If the roll number is visible, it means the candidate has passed the examination.

Merit List 

The board will prepare the merit list after completing the evaluation process of the answer sheet; only those candidates’ roll numbers will be included on it who have a score in the written examination that meets or exceeds the cut-off marks. No login credentials are required to access the documents, so all candidates can check and verify who passed it.

Cut-off Marks 

The cut-off mark is the minimum requirement to pass the Up Home Guard written examination. The board decides it itself; they are not preset. The cut-off marks depend on the examination toughness, number of candidates participating in the examination, available vacancies and reservation policy. Not that the cut-off marks are going to be different from one another for each category. 

A report says that the cut of marks for the general category candidate is likely to be between 74 and 78 out of 100 marks. Expected cut-off marks for the other backward class, economically weaker section, scheduled caste, scheduled tribes, and physically handicapped candidates are 72 to 76, 70 to 74, 68 to 42, and 58 to 62, respectively.

What after the results?

Candidates who will pass the Home Guard written examination have to participate in the second stage of the selection process, which are document verification and physical standard test and physical efficiency test. It is highly anticipated that the second stage will take place in July 2026. 

Firstly, all shortlisted candidates will have to go through the document verification and physical standard test, and then the main stage, which is the physical efficiency test, will take place. It includes a single event that is running. Male candidates will get a time of 28 minutes to complete a run of 4.8 km, and females will get 15 minutes for the distance of only 2.4 km.
