The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur, has released the notification for the recruitment of Data Entry Operators under the CG High Court for a total number of 38 vacancies, out of which 28 positions are for males and 10 for females. Refer to the list below for the category-wise number of vacancies.
- UR: 19 (Male: 14, Female: 5)
- OBC: 5 (Male: 1, Female: 1)
- SC: 7 (Male: 5, Female: 2)
- ST: 7 (Male: 5, Female: 2)
- PH: 4 (Male: 4, Female: 0)
The window to apply will start on April 20, 2026, and last until May 12, 2026. Candidates who are interested in participating in the recruitment drive are highly recommended to apply early without waiting for a late date.
After the closure of the application form, the correction window will be available from May 13 to 15, 2026. Candidates who will make mistakes in the applications will be able to make corrections during the window.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in applying for the recruitment are required to meet the eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit.
Educational Qualification:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; or
- A bachelor’s degree in a subject from a university or institution and a PGDCA or O Level Certificate from DOE.
Age Limit:
- 21 to 30 years as of January 1, 2026.
- Bonafide Chattisgarh has an upper age limit of 40 years.
- The age relaxation is applicable for 5 years for OBC, SC and ST and 10 years for females of CG.
To claim the age relaxation, the candidate must have the required document(s) issued by the concerned authorities.
Application Fee
To apply for the recruitment drive, there is no provision of application fee payment. Candidates across the nation who meet the eligibility requirements can apply without paying even 1 rupee.
Selection Process
The selection process for the recruitment consists of two stages, a written examination and a skill test. The first is all set to be held on June 28, 2026, for which the admit card will be available for download on the CGPEB’s official website on June 22, 2026.
Applicants who will pass the first stage will be called for the second. The skill test is expected to be held within a few weeks after the result release. The board will prepare a final selection list based on the score in the skill test.
Written Exam
The CGPEB will conduct a written examination in offline mode in which there will be a total of 100 objective-type questions. Out of the total MCQs, 15 are set to be from Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, General Studies & General Knowledge, and 40 from Computer, whose syllabus are the following:
- Unix/Open Source Software NT/Operating System
- MS Windows & Ubuntu
- Word processing
- spreadsheet
- Power Point
- Access
- Working with LAN
- Antivirus
- Network and Internet
There is no negative marking provision in the written examination; to solve the maximum number of questions, each student will get a time duration of 2 hours.
Skill Test
The skill test includes a Hindi & English typing test of 50 marks; 25 marks will be given for typing at least 250 words within 10 minutes in Hindi and 25 marks for typing at least 350 words within 10 minutes in English. There’s a provision of negative marking in the skill test; for each mistake, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
Pay Scale
Candidates who will be appointed as DEO under the CG High Court will get the salary as per Level 6 of the pay matrix. It includes a basic pay range from ₹25,300 to ₹80,500 with dearness allowance, house rent allowance, and other benefits from the Government of CG.
