The Railway Recruitment Board conducted the computer-based test for the position of Group D under the Indian Railways from 17 November 2025 to 10 February 2026. It was held against a total number of 32,438 vacancies, and the number of candidates who took part in the examination is more than one crore.
It has been 2 months since the examination concluded; now all the participants are starting to find out what about winning the result will be made public. The RRB has not confirmed anything regarding it; some of the liable media sources have reported that the result may be out by the end of the ongoing month.
Candidates who took part in the examination are hereby informed that the result will be available as a merit list on the different regional websites of the Railway Recruitment Board. It will carry the roll number of qualified candidates along with the category-wise cut-off mark.
How to check the RRB Group D result 2026?
To check the result for the examination, the instructions are given below. Students can go through the guys once the result is made public on the official website.
- Go to the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board.
- Click on the option that reads Centralised Employment Notification 08/2024.
- Tap on the ‘List of Candidates Eligible for Physical Efficiency Test’ option to download the merit list.
- Open the result file, press CTRL + F, and enter Roll Number.
If the roll number is visible on the merit list, it means the candidate has passed the CBT and is eligible to participate in the PET.
Minimum Passing Criteria & Cut-off Marks
The minimum passing criteria for UR and EWS are a 40% score, and the same for OBC-NCL, SC, and ST is 30%. Note that they are marks that are possible minimum cut-off marks; meeting or exceeding them doesn’t guarantee being declared successful in the computer-based test.
To pass the CBT, a candidate needs to score equal or above the cut-off marks for a certain category and position in a certain region. The Railway Recruitment Board will release the cut-off marks as the result; it is set to be available on the last page of the merit list.
Merit List & Scorecard
The merit list is the document which will carry the roll number of computer-based test-qualified candidates; candidates whose score will meet or exceed the cutoff marks will find their roll number on it. To access it, candidates are required to provide any login details.
Following the release of the merit list, the Railway Recruitment Board will make the scorecard public on their official websites. It will show the section-wise so the candidate can check for the performance in the examination. To access it, one has to provide login details, which include a user ID and password.
What’s next after the RRB Group D Result 2026?
After the CBT result release qualified candidates will be called for the second stage of the selection process, which is the physical efficiency test. The board may hold it within 6 to 8 weeks after announcing the result. As the result is expected in April 2026, the PET can take place in June 2026.
The PET includes two events: the first is weightlifting, in which a male candidate gets 2 minutes to cover the distance of 100 metres by lifting a weight of 35 kg; for females, the weight is only 20 kg. The second is running, in which a male candidate has to run a distance of 1 km in 4 minutes 15 seconds, but females get the time of 5 minutes 40 seconds.
