Passing Criteria

To pass the SSC examination, students are required to get a 35% score to increase the brightness and aggregate. It is mandatory to get the minimum passing score separately in theory and practice for the paper with the practical component. It means if a paper of 100 marks has 80 marks as theory and 20 marks as practical, the students need to get at least 28 marks in theory and 7 marks in practical.

Failing to meet the minimum requirement in either of the components of the paper means failing the examination. Note that one must get minimum passing criteria in each paper; even if a candidate’s score is 400 or above but he or she fails to get at least 35 marks even in a single paper, then the individual will be unsuccessful.

Physical Marksheet

The result which the board will make available on its official website will be the provisional copy of the marksheet. Students will get the original ones from the admitted school a few days after that. Every year marksheets are distributed among the students within 2 months after the online result release.

As the board is expected to announce the result for 2026 in May, students can anticipate getting the physical copy of the marksheet from their school by July 2026. Note that it carries the same details which are available on the digital one, but the board sends the physical copy of the marksheet to school to distribute so students can have the proof of passing the examination, and it also requires getting admission after the SSC.
